ValuCard Nigeria Plc is a Public Limited Liability Company (Plc), owned by a consortium of leading Nigerian Banks and Visa International Services Association (Visa). Though a Public Company, it is not quoted on the Stock Exchange and its shares are not open to the general public. Apart from shareholder banks, other banks subscribe to ValuCard for the issuance of VISA/VPay branded cards.

Through its association with Visa, ValuCard is equipped with the latest, most secure and most reliable e-payment processing platform and supporting infrastructure that meet international standards and is dedicated to addressing the e-payment needs of Merchants and Visa Member Banks

ValuCard is also a Principal Member and the Joint Acquirer for all Visa card transactions in Nigeria. By our membership and partnership status with Visa, ValuCard is directly responsible for deploying Point of Sale terminals to merchant outlets where Visa cards are accepted for payment, acquiring the transactions thereto and settling such merchants with payment proceeds due to them.
