VPay is the latest from the Visa product family. It is an online domestic Chip + PIN card that enables its holder to make everyday purchases within Nigeria, at places where they see the Visa or VPay sign. It can also be used to make withdrawals at ATMs (within Nigeria) where the Visa or the VPay sign is displayed.

Its’ holders need not carry huge sums of cash around any more, thereby eliminating all the attendant risks associated with carrying cash.

Because of the tamper-resistant properties embedded in its Chip, and coupled with the use of a Personal Identity Number, it is adjudged to be safer and more convenient to use than Magstripe cards.

Depending on the source of funding, VPay can either be a debit or a credit card.
